Making an impact across the nations

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is a global movement of Christians from many denominations dedicated to presenting Jesus personally to this generation, to mobilizing as many as possible to help in this task, and to the training and equipping of believers for their part in fulfilling the Great Commission.

We are YWAM San José

YWAM San José exists to mobilize, equip and send young people by championing and discipling a generation to know God, becoming passionate followers of Jesus, walking in obedience and the power of the Holy Spirit, bringing His Kingdom into every sphere of society and the Gospel to the unreached. Along with our Discipleship Training Schools (DTS), we also reach out to Costa Rica through our ministries, and by hosting short-term mission teams and outreaches from other YWAM locations.

What is a Discipleship Training School (DTS)?

The Discipleship Training School (YWAM DTS) seeks to bring you into a more intimate relationship with God. The course is a full-time program and lasts five months. It consists of two parts: lecture phase and outreach phase. In the lecture phase, you will learn more about God and His world. You’ll learn not only from lectures but also from community living and practical training. The outreach phase focuses on applying what you learned in the classroom through an intense, cross-cultural experience.
